Nice spot if you are river rafting. Camp host was great. Minimum facilities. Pit toilet, no water, no trash, no dump site and no hand wash. For $25 a night I would expect more.

This campground is great! It has amazing views and you are right on the water. Campground is well maintained and each site has a very nice firepit with a picnic table. If you get a site for a camper you will also have a small area to set up a tent as well. Brown's Canyon is right up the road and has great hiking trails.

The new campground is amazing. Creative and private sites, great views of the river and the Collegiates, and awesome star gazing. The sites near the river are all very close together, but across the road there are several great sites that offer privacy. Note that there are no trees in most of the campground, so there isn't much shade. No trash recepticles on site, so you have to pack out any trash.

Great location for local hikes. Gorgeous, hidden gem with a river running next to the campground and mountain views. Bring cash, as there is a self-service station to pay for a site. Highly recommend.

I visited this campsite a little over a year ago with my troop. The campsite was quite large with ample parking for all of the campers. The campsite are well established and look great. The camping area was all rock but they seemed to all be smooth river rocks which made sleeping atop them much easier. The surrounding area is lovely. There is a soothing river and soaring moutians nearby. The campsites that we had (5 and 6 I believe) had nice stone steps that lead to the river which was nice and cool in the summers sun. In the campsites there are cement benches that are fairly comfortable for being cement. The moutians nearby are all climbable though while we were there Ruby moutians trail was very loose and hard to find at some points. The sight atop it is worth the hike up, you don't see things like that in Iowa unless you on a building.
